About this file
This document is a Certification Pursuant to Section 103-g of the New York State General Municipal Law for Iranian Energy Sector Divestment, which requires bidders to certify that they are not on a list of entities with investments in Iran's energy sector. The certification is a mandatory requirement for any bid or proposal submission to a New York State political subdivision, public department, or agency.
The certification requires bidders to affirm under penalty of perjury that they are not listed on a state-created registry of companies with Iranian energy investments. If a bidder cannot make this certification, they must provide a detailed explanation, and the purchasing unit may still award the contract under specific circumstances: if the investments were made before April 12, 2012, have not been expanded, and the bidder has a plan to cease Iranian investments; or if the political subdivision determines the goods or services are necessary to perform its functions and cannot be obtained without this exemption. The document provides a signature section for bidders to complete their certification, including spaces for name, title, company name, and date.
