About this file
This document is an E-Verify Requirement form from the Town of Palm Beach that mandates compliance with Florida Statutes section 448.095. The form requires proposers to be registered with the E-Verify System and to electronically verify the employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021. This applies to both the proposer's workers and subcontractors performing duties under the contract.
The document outlines strict compliance measures, including the requirement for proposers to obtain affidavits from subcontractors confirming they do not employ unauthorized aliens. The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate the contract if there is a good faith belief that the contractor or subcontractor has knowingly violated employment eligibility statutes. Consequences of termination include being barred from future Town contracts for one year and potential liability for additional costs incurred by the Town as a result of the termination.
