About this file
This document outlines three sample task orders (STOs) for the United States Marine Corps' (USMC) Enterprise Commercial Satellite Services (MECS2) program. STO 1 requests commercially provided Ku-band satellite bandwidth to support various USMC requirements in five regions, including the Americas, Western Pacific, Europe/Africa, Southwest Asia, and globally. Specific quantities of transponded bandwidth are identified for different network configurations across each region. STO 2 requires an end-to-end commercial satellite subscription service with managed bandwidth, teleports, terrestrial connectivity, and user terminals to support deployed users in the same five regions. STO 3 obtains commercial teleport and terrestrial transport services to interconnect user traffic between teleports and Department of Defense core nodes through terrestrial links. Technical requirements, coverage details, equipment specifications, and performance metrics are provided for space, teleport, and terrestrial connectivity components under each STO.
