About this file
This document is an instruction sheet for the TACO D2000 Series Muldipol Antenna, providing detailed installation and mounting guidelines for two different mount assembly types (Type A and Type B). The instructions cover critical steps including lightning rod installation, antenna mounting on a mast or tower, connecting downleads, installing obstruction lights, and proper grounding techniques. Key technical specifications include mast outer diameter ranges of 1.5-3.0", specific torque requirements for U-bolts based on antenna outer diameter, and a maximum mast projection limit of 0.5-1" above the mounting bracket.
The document also provides comprehensive grounding instructions to protect the antenna and receiver from lightning damage, recommending a #6 ground wire connected to a ground rod driven at least four feet into the ground. Additional sections cover replacement parts contact information for U.S. and Canadian offices, and disposal information compliant with the WEEE directive for electrical equipment in EU countries. Safety warnings emphasize the need to consult a qualified structural engineer before mounting the antenna on a tower or support structure.

D2000 SERIES MULDIPOL
1) If shipped with a Lightning Rod, screw it into the threaded hole at the top of the antenna, then tighten nut to lock it in place.
Ensure the lightning rod is oriented as shown below.
2) Open the clamping blocks of the mount as far as they will go.
3) Slide the antenna onto the mast (Not Included).
4) Tighten the two hand screws on the clamp mount. Note: The mast should not project above the clamp mount by more than
.50 (13mm). Standard mast OD is 3.0". For other clamping blocks sizes, consult a TACO representative.
5) Connect the downleads to the antenna.
6) If shipped with an obstruction light, have a qualified electrician perform required work to connect to the power supply.
7) Weatherproof all connections appropriately.

1) If shipped with a lightning rod, screw it into the threaded hole at the top of the antenna, then tighten nut to lock it in place. Ensure lightning rod is oriented as shown on previous page.
2) Loosely assemble the U‐Bolts through the mounting bracket.
3) Slide the antenna through one set of U‐Bolts and tighten the hex nuts to the following torques:
Antenna OD = 1.59: Torque = 10 lbf*in Antenna OD = 2.25: Torque = 1.56 lbf*in
4) Slide the mast (Not Included) through the other set of U‐Bolts and tighten in place. Note that the mast should not project above the mounting bracket more than 1(25mm). Standard mast OD range 1.5‐3.0.
5) Connect the downleads to the antenna.
6) If shipped with an obstruction light, have a qualified electrician perform required work to connect to the power supply.
7) Weatherproof all connections appropriately.
1) Align internal bulkhead plates.
2) Slide antenna upper section over lower section
3) Hand tighten ABS nut until connections are seated properly
