About this file
This document is a Byrd Anti-Lobbying Certification form for the Trunk Sewer Stream Bank Repairs project. The certification requires the undersigned company to affirm that no federal appropriated funds have been or will be paid to influence or attempt to influence any government officials in connection with federal contracts, grants, loans, or cooperative agreements. The document outlines three key requirements: disclosure of any non-federal funds used for lobbying, inclusion of the certification language in all subawards and subcontracts, and acknowledgment of potential civil penalties for non-compliance.
The certification is a legal document that emphasizes transparency and prevents improper lobbying practices in federal transactions. Failure to file the required certification can result in civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 for each violation. The document provides space for the company's authorized representative to print their name, address, sign, and date the certification, thereby attesting to the truthfulness of the statements and understanding the legal implications under 31 U.S.C. § 1352 and related regulations.
