About this file
This is a Federal and Idaho Law Acknowledgements document for West Ada School District, the largest school district in Idaho with approximately 39,000 students across 60 school sites located in Ada County and Canyon County. The document outlines mandatory certifications and compliance requirements that contractors must acknowledge when bidding on or performing work for the district, particularly for contracts involving federal funding. The acknowledgements cover critical areas including compliance with Idaho's No Public Funds for Abortion Act, anti-collusion and anti-lobbying certifications, boycott prohibitions related to Israel and fossil fuel industries, and requirements that contractors certify they are not owned or operated by the Chinese government.
The document further requires contractors to comply with federal environmental standards under the Clean Air Act and Federal Water Pollution Control Act for contracts exceeding $150,000, prevailing wage requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act for construction contracts over $2,000, work hours and safety standards for contracts over $100,000 involving mechanics or laborers, and record retention requirements for federally funded contracts. Additionally, contractors must certify debarment status, compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations prohibiting discrimination, adherence to energy efficiency standards, and compliance with sex offender registry requirements prohibiting registered offenders from school property. The district reserves the right to terminate any contract in excess of $10,000 immediately for cause or for convenience, with compensation limited to work performed and accepted through the termination date.
