About this file
This document is a Scope of Work for the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF), developed in conjunction with a USDA grant, seeking a mobile disinfection unit for vehicle biosecurity during disease outbreaks. The project involves procuring a portable, automated disinfection system capable of cleaning vehicle tires, undercarriages, and lower portions through an adaptable unit with adjustable spray cycles. The contract requires delivery of a full-function mobile disinfection unit to UDAF's Taylorsville, Utah location by December 29, 2025, with a total project duration of 60 days from contract award.
The project is funded through a USDA grant with a strict budget of $25,000, inclusive of unit purchase and shipping costs. The mobile disinfection unit must meet specific technical requirements, including compatibility with 120v/240v power sources, farm water supplies, automatic entry sensor activation, rust/corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand at least 10,000 kg per axle. The procurement is being conducted through the State of Utah Division of Purchasing as a Request for Quotes (RFQ), with evaluation based on responsiveness and lowest cost, following Utah Procurement Code guidelines.
