About this file

The document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, detailing a breakwater replacement and installation project at Strawberry Marina, Strawberry Reservoir, Utah. The project involves constructing and installing a new breakwater section approximately 160 feet long and 8 feet wide to replace an existing broken breakwater. The project performance time is from 10/25/2025 to 06/15/2026, with the contractor responsible for design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of the new breakwater. The final product must adhere to the provided Forest Service-approved engineering specifications, originally engineered for Flaming Gorge Recreation Area.

The project requires the contractor to fabricate a breakwater using primarily wood framing, incorporating a hinged design and larger plate steel as specified in the engineering plans. The decking and fascia shall use Trex-style material matching existing courtesy docks, with the option to salvage and reuse existing Trex-style decking from the current breakwater. The new breakwater should utilize existing underwater anchors and anchoring winches. The project will be considered complete upon verification of compliance with design specifications, passing a pre-installation inspection by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, confirming the 160-foot length and 8-foot width, and ensuring proper installation and anchoring. A comprehensive maintenance plan must be provided, ensuring a minimum service life of 10 years for the newly installed breakwater.
