About this file
This document is an Addendum (#1) for a Request for Quotation (RFQ# 2025025-RFQ5300) issued by the Columbia County Board of Commissioners for Landfill Post Closure Care & Corrective Action Plan Operation & Maintenance. The solicitation covers a site visit conducted on 7/9/2025 and provides key details about the landfill property. The landfill spans 154 acres, with approximately 93 acres being maintainable, and includes 37 Methane Monitoring Wells (MM-#) and additional compliance wells. The document notes that landfill phases 1 and 2 are not lined, while phase 3 is lined, and current leachate discharge volumes range from 2,100 to 5,467 gallons per day. Mowing is currently performed every 6-8 weeks, and 4-H utilizes the site for training and competitions.
The solicitation is specifically for basic maintenance and compliance, with special projects to be bid separately. The site visit sign-in sheet indicates participation from county procurement and engineering departments, as well as several vendor representatives from companies like Piedmont. Attached methane monitoring data from 6-24-25 shows extensive testing across multiple monitoring points (MM-1 through MM-37, MMM-A through MMM-M, and DOT-1 through DOT-12), with all readings showing minimal methane levels (predominantly 0.0) and varying oxygen levels. The site plan includes detailed topographical information, well locations, and elevation contours, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to environmental monitoring and management.
