About this file
Summary
This is an FCC Form 470 application and associated E-rate solicitation filed by Piute County School District, a public school district in Junction, Utah, for the 2026 funding year. The district is seeking bids for wireless access points and related support services through the E-rate program, a federal subsidy mechanism for schools and libraries. The procurement includes three categories of Fortinet wireless access point equipment: 36 units of FortiAP 231K with internal antennas, 10 units of FortiAP 241K with external antennas, and 8 units of FortiAP 831F with internal antennas, along with one-year FortiCare Premium Support licenses for each category (36, 10, and 8 units respectively). All products must be delivered to Piute School District at 500 N Main Street, Junction, Utah 84740. The solicitation bid number is PiuteSD2026eratecat2, with a closing date of noon on March 31, 2026. The district notes that the quantities listed are estimates and they may not purchase all items; bidders must understand that this is not a guaranteed purchase commitment.
Bidders must be registered E-rate Service Providers with a current form 473 Service Provider Annual Certification (SPAC) on file with USAC and must provide their USAC SPIN number as part of the bid submission. Products must be new, not refurbished, with freight included and delivery FOB Destination. Bidders may propose functionally equivalent products that are compatible with existing Fortigate 400E equipment and capable of utilizing WLAN controller features, though Piute School District retains sole discretion to determine functional equivalency. Award will be made to the highest-scoring bidder based on the district's Bid Evaluation Matrix. The district reserves the right to reject the lowest bid and award to the next lowest bidder if warranted. All bids must be submitted electronically through the Utah Public Procurement Place, and the Form 470 will be available for review by potential bidders for at least 28 days before bids are considered and a service provider is selected. The authorized contact is Paul James, Technology Director, at 435-577-2912 or paul.james@piutek12.org.
