About this file

This is a Bidders Prequalifications specification document from the City of Fort Worth for the Alpha Ranch Master Infrastructure Sewer project (City Project No. 105879). The project involves approximately 24,191 linear feet of sewer pipe installation ranging from 12 inches to 30 inches in diameter across multiple segments. Prior to bid submission, all bidders and designated subcontractors must either be prequalified by the City or submit a prequalification application seven days before the bid opening date. Failure to achieve prequalification status by the time bids are opened may result in bid rejection.

The prequalification process establishes individual bid limits for each contractor based on technical evaluation and financial analysis. Applicants must submit audited or reviewed financial statements prepared by independent certified public accountants, certified organizational documents, a completed prequalification application with Texas Taxpayer Identification Number and DUNS number, equipment schedules detailing manufacturer and model information, and a minimum of five project references. Financial statements must reflect positive net working capital, with bidding capacity calculated by multiplying net working capital by a factor of ten. The City reserves the right to reject, suspend, or modify prequalifications based on demonstrated financial ability or performance, and will issue formal prequalification approval letters to eligible contractors.
