About this file

This is a fee sheet for a warehouse distribution Request for Response (RFR) issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office for Nutrition. The RFR seeks an experienced warehouse distributor to purchase, receive, store, and deliver Massachusetts-procured food products, including USDA Processed Foods, to schools, child care centers, adult care centers, and other recipient agencies across four regions in Massachusetts: Greater Boston (Region 1), Southeast (Region 2), Central Massachusetts (Region 3), and Western Massachusetts (Region 4). Bidders must submit responses for all four regions and are required to accommodate an approximate product mix as specified in Attachment A with a standard 90-day dwell time per product arrival at the warehouse.

Bidders must submit pricing on a per-case basis for three tiered warehousing periods: days 1-30, days 31-60, and days 61-90, with separate charges for dry, cooler, and freezer storage, as well as monthly charges for storage extending beyond the 90-day period. Delivery pricing is structured by drop size, ranging from 15-case minimum drops to drops of 200 or more cases, with options for weekly or biweekly delivery schedules. Biweekly deliveries with a minimum 20-case drop size are required as a baseline, though 15-case minimums are preferred. All quoted charges must be all-inclusive, and offers must be signed in ink by an individual with legal authority to bind the bidder, accompanied by the bidding firm's name, facility address, and Federal I.D. number.
