About this file
This is an Existing Equipment Removal Requirements attachment for a federal contract involving the Trident Refit Facility (TRF) at Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor in Silverdale, Washington. The document specifies requirements for removing a HAAS EC-1600 CNC Horizontal Machining Center (NID# 68438C0017) from Building 7000, Room W138 to make space for new equipment installation under Project #412-320.
The contractor is responsible for coordinating equipment removal with the Prime Contractor installing the replacement equipment, scheduling work to minimize production downtime, and completing removal in accordance with site-specific requirements detailed in Attachment A. Contractor responsibilities include removing the machine and all associated electrical gear and disconnects, managing waste as designated by the Government, disassembling the machine as necessary for transport, and transporting the machine to scrap. The contractor must also clean any residual fluids, dirt, and debris that leak from the removed equipment for 15 calendar days following removal. The Government will disconnect utilities and bring the machine to a Zero-Energy State by removing stored energy sources, provide a laydown area for contractor equipment, and remove bulk fluids. All work requires submission and approval of a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) prior to execution.
