26CRDPFPJSEAG-0001S - FULL Project Overview Map.pdf

This is a Project Overview Map document prepared by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for a hazard tree removal project at Lewis and Clark State Park in Monona County, Iowa. The project involves the removal of dead and dying eastern cottonwood trees that have experienced significant stress from sustained drought conditions occurring between 2020 and 2025. The scope targets trees with over 50% crown dieback located near Blue Lake, an oxbow lake formed by the Missouri River. The work is organized in two phases and requires submission of separate technical and cost proposals. The Request for Proposal was released on December 30, 2025, with proposals due on January 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST. Respondents must complete all required certifications and follow specific submission guidelines, including sealing proposals until the submission deadline. Supporting documentation includes project overview maps, phase-specific maps, roads and trails maps, and debris pile location maps.

Payment will be conducted in US dollars with options for 15-day and 30-day discounts available. Contractors requesting confidential treatment of proposal information must complete Form 22 Part 2 and clearly mark confidential pages within their submission. No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations were explicitly mentioned in the documentation. The full contract terms and conditions are available on the Iowa DNR website at http://www.iowadnr.gov/InsideDNR/RFPBidLettings.aspx. For additional information, interested parties should contact Colton Lullmann at colton.lullmann@dnr.iowa.gov. Although a specific contract value was not disclosed, the project involves comprehensive tree removal services across two phases in a state park setting, indicating a substantial scope of work.
