About this file

The document is a Bid Bond for the Town of Avon, Colorado, related to the Avon I-70 & US-6 Crosswalk Improvements project, with a State Aid Project Number SHO 006A-074 and Project Control Number 26059. The project involves installing rectangular rapid flashing beacons and reconstructing curb ramps to meet ADA compliance at nine pedestrian crossings on Avon Road from the I-70 Interchange to US-6. The estimated construction period is from September 2, 2025, to Fall 2025.

The bid bond serves as a financial guarantee that the principal (contractor) will enter into the contract if awarded and will perform all required obligations, including providing payment bonds for labor and materials. The bond ensures the town is protected if the bidder fails to fulfill contractual requirements. The surety must be listed on the Treasury Department's current list (Circular 570) and authorized to do business in Colorado. The project has specific requirements for equal employment opportunity reporting and adherence to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, with an emphasis on providing fair opportunities for disadvantaged business enterprises.
