About this file
This is a Price Proposal attachment for Dane County, Wisconsin's Highway & Transportation Department Request for Bid 2026-RFB-002 for crushed stone and gravel materials procured on an as-needed basis. The solicitation encompasses 61 line items organized into five categories: crushed stone products in various sizes and grades (3/4" to 3"), gravel and dirt materials including pit run gravel, sand types, and topsoil, highway debris disposal services priced by weight, highway debris disposal services priced by tri-axle and quad-axle loads, and landfill stone and gravel delivery to Dane County Landfill Site #2 at 7102 Maahic Way, Madison, Wisconsin. Vendors must submit completed pricing proposals by February 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM through the County's eProcurement Portal. Standard delivery is expected within 24 to 36 hours of order placement, with same-day delivery occasionally required for orders placed before noon. Orders exceeding seven loads require minimum two-truck delivery. The contract will be effective for one year from purchase order or contract execution date, with payment made within 30 days of receipt and acceptance of goods.
Pricing shall be quoted on a loaded basis and include all labor, delivery costs, materials, equipment, and associated expenses necessary to provide products in accordance with specifications and bid terms. Unit prices must remain fixed for the full calendar year of 2026. Vendors must complete the Excel price proposal template by filling in cost per ton for each line item and identifying which materials are available at which quarries or pits, including quarry names, addresses, contact information, and hours of operation. All materials must comply with Wisconsin Division of Highways Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2026 edition) and applicable OSHA and Wisconsin Department of Commerce safety standards. Vendors must carry Commercial General Liability insurance at $1,000,000 per occurrence, Business Auto Liability insurance at $1,000,000, Environmental Impairment Liability insurance at $1,000,000, and Workers' Compensation insurance at Wisconsin statutory limits, with Dane County named as additional insured. The County reserves the right to award on a per-item basis or total net bid, considering product availability, vendor proximity, and quality. Unless otherwise specified, materials shall be picked up by Dane County at the vendor's quarry rather than delivered by the vendor.
