About this file

This is a price proposal attachment for Dane County, Wisconsin's 2026-RFB-002 Crushed Stone and Gravel procurement. The county seeks bids for a comprehensive range of stone and gravel materials to be supplied on an as-needed basis, with specific delivery requirements for the Dane County Landfill Site #2 located at 7102 Maahic Way, Madison, Wisconsin. The bid includes 61 line items organized into five categories: crushed stone products (13 items ranging from 3/4" to 3" sizes with varying grades), gravel and dirt materials (14 items including pit run gravel, various sand types, and topsoil), highway debris disposal services priced by weight (6 items), highway debris disposal services priced by tri-axle and quad-axle loads (12 items), and landfill stone and gravel delivery services (8 items). Bidders are required to specify which materials are available at which quarries or pits, including complete address and contact information for each location, as well as hours of operation.

All pricing must be submitted on a loaded basis (inclusive of delivery) and must account for all labor, delivery costs, and other expenses necessary to provide the products in accordance with the bid specifications and terms. Vendors must complete the price proposal in Microsoft Excel format and identify any items they are not bidding on by marking the yellow "No Bid" cells. For landfill deliveries, the county expects standard delivery within 24 to 36 hours of order placement, with occasional same-day delivery required for orders placed before noon. Orders exceeding seven loads must be delivered using a minimum of two trucks. Bidders may also propose additional miscellaneous materials not listed in the standard categories. The contract structure allows the county to issue purchase orders based on the awarded pricing and reserves the right to procure materials elsewhere if delivery requirements cannot be met.
