About this file
This is a set of architectural construction drawings for the Pike County Board of Supervisors' Pike County Jail Renovations project focused on shower installations and related facility improvements. The project involves renovation and repair work across multiple areas of the detention facility, including Blocks A, B, C, D, and F, plus the ADA Holding Cell (Room 55) and Booking Restroom (Room 52). The base bid encompasses approximately 200 square feet of work, with four additional alternates ranging from 40 to 200 square feet each, bringing the total project scope to approximately 580 square feet across the approximately 28,500 square foot detention facility. The Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for April 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Pike County Jail facility located at 2109 Jesse Hall Industrial Park Road, Magnolia, Mississippi 39652. The scope of work does not affect existing exit routes or life safety systems and must comply with the 2024 International Existing Building Code (IEBC).
The project work includes replacement of detention shower heads, repair of worn concrete shower bases with epoxy coating systems, replacement of non-working detention watercloset and lavatory fixtures (three total fixtures), and repair and replacement of floor drain grates. Additional renovation items include installation of anti-ligature robe hooks, anti-ligature safety track for breakaway shower curtains, new LED security light fixtures, steel shroud panels, steel plate trim at balcony edges, and anti-ligature ADA folding shower benches. New epoxy flooring and wall base finishes are specified with contrasting colors applied to concrete curbs at showers. The project architect is JBHM Architecture with Project Architect Kimberly J. Buford, AIA, and the plumbing designer is GSK Mechanical, Inc. with Project Manager Jason Kackley. The construction documents are dated April 8, 2026, and the drawings indicate security-sensitive work with overall plans concealed to maintain facility security, with specific location details to be shared with the contractor only after project award.
