The project is located at 465 Seagate Drive, Naples, Florida 34103, and encompasses repairs to park infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Ian. The scope of work includes five base bid items: general conditions, mobilization and demobilization, removal and replacement of MEP supports for the timber boardwalk, plumbing repairs to the concessions platform, and electrical and communications repairs to the concessions platform. Two alternates are also included in the bid schedule: Alternate No. 1 addresses selective structural repairs, while Alternate No. 2 involves full replacement of the timber boardwalk with new Ipe deck boards, comprising approximately 35,200 square feet of boardwalk and 10,000 linear feet of new deck boards. The sealed bid deadline is 5:22/2026 at 3:00 p.m. local time, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for 4/21/2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Collier County Procurement Services. Prospective bidders must register through the OpenGov procurement portal to obtain complete bid documents.
The award will be based on the lowest base bid total plus selected alternates. Staff has allocated owner's allowances totaling $226,400 for the base bid, $3,900 for Bid Alternate No. 1, and $387,800 for Bid Alternate No. 2 to address unforeseen conditions and changes as directed by the owner. These allowances are not guaranteed payments but will be expended through change orders with supporting documentation of time and materials. The project is grant-funded, indicating financing through external funding sources rather than county general funds.
