About this file
This document is submittal review meeting minutes for the Marion County Public Schools District's Design Services Request for Qualification (RFQ) for HVAC upgrades at Belleview Middle School (Project 26-103). The meeting was held on March 13, 2026, at the Purchasing Department in Ocala, Florida, and was conducted by Purchasing Specialist Garrett McCallum. The RFQ process required a mandatory pre-bid meeting on February 12, 2026, with bid opening scheduled for February 27, 2026. Nine firms submitted qualifications through the VendorLink portal for the design services contract to replace the current HVAC system with a modern, energy-efficient chilled water system campus-wide. The Selection Committee scored all nine submitting firms, with final scores ranging from 93.17 to 31 points. The top three scoring firms were identified for shortlist interviews: DDC Engineering, Inc. (93.17), SGM Engineering, Inc. (90.17), and Engineering Matrix, Inc. (88.67). The remaining six firms scored as follows: VoltAir Consulting Engineers Inc. (84.50), Mitchell Gulledge Engineering, Inc. (81.67), H2Engineering, Inc. (76.67), Matern Professional Engineering, Inc. (75.33), Cape Design Engineering Co. (57.33), and ThermaServe Mechanical, Inc. (31). The scoring tabulation was to be posted on March 13, 2026, or the following Monday after Spring Break.
