About this file

This is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid for Pad Mount Transformers issued by a state or local utility organization, with a bid opening scheduled for October 27, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. (Bid Ref. #26-018). The addendum modifies the original specifications by deleting the requirement for 150kVA 3-phase pad transformers at 120/208V and adding a requirement for 150kVA 3-phase pad transformers at 277/480V. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms for their proposals to be considered acceptable.

The addendum clarifies multiple technical specifications and requirements for the transformer procurement. Acceptable materials include mild steel construction, mineral oil or equivalent cooling fluid, and aluminum windings (though copper is preferred). The transformers must be air-cooled with no tap requirements, feature either amorphous or silicone steel cores (with steel preferred), and accommodate 15kV screw-in bushings on the primary side and secondary spades on the secondary side. Bidders may offer either new or reconditioned units, though new is preferred. Dead or live front configurations are acceptable, and loop feed capability is required. Vendors must provide estimated delivery timelines with their bids, with preference given to the quickest delivery option. No specific cooling class is mandated beyond air-cooled operation.
