About this file
This document is a Maintenance Task Log created by Sarasota County's General Services Department, Facilities Maintenance Division, detailing comprehensive maintenance procedures for four different types of conveyance systems: Traction Elevators, Hydraulic Elevators, Escalator Systems, and Wheelchair Lifts and Dumb Waiters. The log provides a detailed, month-by-month checklist of maintenance tasks to be performed throughout the calendar year, including checks, inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and testing of various mechanical, electrical, and safety components for each type of system.
The maintenance task logs are designed to ensure systematic and thorough maintenance of conveyance systems, with tasks ranging from checking signal panels and oil levels to inspecting hoistway equipment, testing safety devices, and lubricating moving parts. Each log is structured to allow technicians to record their maintenance activities across all twelve months, with specific tasks tailored to the unique requirements of traction elevators, hydraulic elevators, escalators, and wheelchair lifts/dumb waiters. The document includes fields for recording the elevator/escalator ID, license number, location, technician name, and calendar year, enabling detailed tracking and documentation of maintenance activities.
