About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a construction project at the FAA Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in Hampton, GA. The project requires removing two nonfunctional louvers (approximately 4ft x 7ft each) from the Automation Wing, abating rust stains on the surrounding brick walls, and infilling the openings with matching brick and concrete masonry units (CMUs).

The detailed technical requirements include installing 2-core CMUs reinforced with #4 steel rebar, hook & eye wire ladder joint reinforcement, industrial grade rigid insulation, vapor barriers, weep vents, and waterproof membrane flashing. The contractor must provide scaffolding with proper safety measures, coordinate all work with the FAA Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), maintain facility operations, and work Monday through Friday 0800-1600. All personnel require escort and possibly background checks/badging. The contractor must submit various plans and material specifications for approval, including a construction phasing plan, scaffold plan, fall protection plan, and worksite safety plan within 15 calendar days of contract award. A site visit is scheduled for February 20, 2025 at 1400 EST.
