About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for an FBI antenna removal project at two tower sites: Middle Island and Plainview/Melville. The Q&A provides critical details for potential contractors, including site-specific information such as FCC ASR numbers, equipment to be removed, and project logistics. Key answers clarify that the project involves removing Gabriel HP six and four-foot diameter dishes, waveguide and Heliax hangers, coaxial lines, and other transmission equipment from outside tower locations. Contractors interested in bidding can schedule site visits by contacting NYFO LET Tom Suhey via email or phone, with typical work hours set from 9am-6pm. The document specifies that no broadcast equipment needs to be turned down, there is no operational elevator, and all removed equipment should be disposed of, not kept by the FBI.
