About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 250000003137 issued by the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) for kitchen exhaust degreasing services. The RFP covers annual cleaning services for exhaust systems at multiple military installations in the lower peninsula of Michigan, including Fort Custer Training Center, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, Joint Force Headquarters, Camp Grayling, and Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center. The scope involves comprehensive exhaust cleaning services that adhere to NFPA 96 standards, including fan servicing, degreasing, cleaning of hoods and ductwork, and post-cleaning documentation. Bidders are encouraged to have the capability to service the entire lower peninsula, with the potential for multiple regional contract awards.

The contract has no guaranteed work volume and is contingent on funding availability. Pricing is intended to be firm for the entire contract length, with potential adjustments based on documented cost changes. Invoicing will be processed electronically, and liquidated damages of $500 plus $100 per day may be assessed for late or improper completion of services. The contractor will be required to provide a project plan within 30 days of the contract start, maintain a dedicated program manager, offer customer service during standard business hours, and potentially work evening and weekend hours to accommodate continuous kitchen operations. The contract includes provisions for potential future additions of DMVA facilities and requires comprehensive reporting and documentation of all exhaust cleaning activities.
