About this file
This is an Insurance and Bonding Requirements document issued by Collier County, Florida, for concession services at Barefoot Beach Park. The county requires vendors to maintain comprehensive insurance coverage throughout the contract term, which spans three years with two optional one-year renewals. Key insurance requirements include Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, Employer's Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence, Commercial General Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence with a $2,000,000 aggregate, and Automobile Liability of $300,000 per occurrence. Additional specialized coverages are required if applicable to the scope of work, including Watercraft Liability ($300,000 per occurrence), Aircraft Liability ($5,000,000 per occurrence), and Liquor Liability ($500,000 per occurrence). A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for July 21, 2025, with proposal submissions due by August 6, 2025, at 3:00 pm EST.
Vendors must submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the cost proposal in the form of certified funds, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit. For contracts exceeding $200,000, Performance and Payment Bonds of 100% of the contract award amount are required at the vendor's expense, with surety rated "A-" or better by A.M. Best Company. Collier County must be named as the "Additional Insured" on all Commercial General Liability certificates, with the policy being primary and non-contributory. All certificates must include 30 days cancellation notice and identify the Certificate Holder as "Collier County Board of County Commissioners, 3295 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112." The county will procure Builders Risk Insurance for construction projects as deemed necessary, with premiums billed to the project rather than included in vendor proposals. Vendors must provide evidence of insurability within five days of notification of a recommended award, and all subcontractors must comply with identical insurance requirements.
