About this file

This document is an Insurance and Bonding Requirements specification from Collier County, Florida, detailing comprehensive insurance coverage mandates for vendors and contractors. The requirements specify multiple types of insurance including Workers' Compensation, Employer's Liability, Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, and Pollution coverage, with specific minimum coverage limits for each category. For projects exceeding $200,000, Performance and Payment Bonds are required, underwritten by a surety rated "A-" or better and authorized to do business in Florida.

The document outlines critical insurance stipulations, such as Collier County being named as "Additional Insured" on Commercial General Liability certificates, with insurance being primary and non-contributory. Vendors must ensure subcontractors comply with the same insurance requirements and provide corresponding certificates. Additional requirements include a 30-day cancellation notice, specific certificate holder naming conventions, and the potential for Collier County to procure Builders Risk Insurance on construction projects. Vendors must accept these insurance requirements and be prepared to provide evidence of insurability within five days of award notification.
