About this file
This document is an Addendum (#1) issued by Dynamic Design Group, Inc. for the Escanaba Area Public Schools' Upper Elementary School Unit Ventilator Replacement project (Job No. 25-4650). The addendum extends the bid due date to Monday, July 21st at 10 am, with a public bid opening at 10:15 pm at the DDGi office. The project involves replacing existing unit ventilators from 2001, with replacement Airedale units being approximately 48" wide compared to the current 36" wide units. Contractors are required to relocate the new units further into the room and modify ductwork to fit the existing alcoves. The school district desires project completion by Tuesday, August 26, 2025 (end of the 2025 School Summer Break), with on-site work potentially beginning as early as Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
The addendum includes an alternate bid option for units that will fit within the existing 42" wide alcoves, with roof condensers for each individual unit and refrigerant lines. Contractors must provide detailed pricing, unit and condenser manufacturer information, and written literature about the proposed installation. The project requires contractors to complete all necessary work, including modifications to ceilings, walls, roofs, and flooring. Two contractors have already scheduled pre-bid meetings: Berger & King and Prime Specialty Contracting. The bid remains open for acceptance for sixty days from the bid closing date, with potential completion during the 2025 Christmas Break if material lead times prevent summer completion.
