About this file

The document is an Insurance Requirements document from the City of Sebastian, Florida Finance Department's Procurement Division, specifically detailing insurance stipulations for contractors performing work for the city. The requirements are associated with a Community Center Floor Replacement project involving the removal and replacement of approximately 3,800 square feet of existing vinyl flooring and vinyl wall base at the Sebastian Community Center located at 1805 N. Central Avenue.

The insurance requirements mandate that contractors maintain specific types and levels of insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability (with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate limits), Business Automobile Insurance (with $1,000,000 combined single limit), Workers' Compensation (statutory coverage with $1,000,000 employer's liability), and optional Umbrella/Excess Liability coverage of $1,000,000. The City of Sebastian must be named as an additional insured on all certificates, and all insurance carriers must be rated (A) or better by the A.M. Best Rating Guide. The document emphasizes that these insurance requirements are a mandatory condition precedent to performing work for the city, with the contractor responsible for maintaining coverage at their own expense until final project acceptance.
