About this file

This is Addendum #1 issued by Macon-Bibb County Government's Procurement Department for Invitation for Bids 25-028-LH for Road Milling and Resurfacing, dated January 27, 2024. This document clarifies that this is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a list of qualified contractors for a large Paving Work Program, with submissions due February 27, 2025. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for January 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM, and the deadline for questions is January 31, 2025 by 3:00 PM. All work must be performed during daylight hours, though the Notice to Proceed date has not yet been determined.

The addendum clarifies that no bid form for cost is required at this stage, as this is purely a qualifications-based selection process. Only contractors who respond to this RFQ will be eligible to participate in the future Paving Work Program and receive requests for price quotes. No specific list of roads or detailed scope of work has been developed at this time, as these details will be provided when price quotes are requested from qualified contractors. The specifications for the project can be found on the Macon-Bibb County Procurement website.

The Invitation for Bids, referenced above, is modified as follows:

2. Is this a Rebid of the project that bid in December 2024? The bid documents look the same, other than the dates.

Answer: No.

3. Could you please provide the list of roads for this project, along with the scope of work for to be completed on each road/ We think that this might be in an Excel File, like you have provided in the past.
