About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Macon-Bibb County Government Procurement Department for Security Services. The IFB requests sealed bids for a single source to provide security services for the Macon-Bibb County Government. Bids are due by 12:00 noon on October 17, 2024, and will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 pm on the same day. The IFB encourages participation from Minority, Women Owned, and other Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
The addendum provides clarification on various aspects of the IFB, including the current incumbent provider (Sizemore, Inc.), the required holidays with 24-hour coverage, the intent to award to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, the number of security personnel required per shift, and the requirement for background checks on all employees. The addendum also addresses questions related to insurance, bid submission, and the bidding process.
