Questions and Answers Vendor Three
1. Question: The quote calls for an AV20175DN-28 or comparable on page 3 of the Statement of Work (b.i.) but on line (b.ii.1) it calls for a PTZ IP corner mount.
0. The AV20175DN is not a PTZ. Are you wanting a PTZ or the OMNI DOME which can provide up to 360 degrees of coverage?
Answer: Omni Dome
0. Question: Based on the where the cameras are being places I think you are wanting an OMNI type of camera that will provide a continuous recording of the entire field of view, right?
Answer: Yes
0. Question: A PZT IP Courner Mount will not work with the AV20175DN-28.
1. In one place your camera part number is an AV20175DN-28. According to Arecont that part number comes with 4- 2.8mm lesnses.
1. Question: But under item b.ii.2 you call for Mount Caps but give lens that would fit the AV20175DN-NL. Are you wanting the AV20175DN-28 plus additional lens? Answer: Yes
1. Question: What mounting cap are you requesting?
Answer: Default cap that comes with camera
1. It says all cameras cable will be installed by OWNER.
2. Question: Will the cable be terminated?
Answer: No.
2. Question: Will the cable penetrate the outside wall where the cameras needs to go?
Answer: Cable currently does not penetrate outside wall, cable is spooled next to wall location.
2. Question: If the camera does not work because the cable was damaged during installation, who is responsible for the cable being reran?
Answer: IHS.
1. Question: How many additional licenses are available on the HUSKY NVR?
Answer: Cameras should include licenses.
1. Queston: Each building will have a PoE switch provided by the owner, is that right?
Answer: Yes
4. Question: That switch is connected to the I.H.S. network so the winning vendor will not need to pull cables between buildings is that correct?
Answer: Yes, vendor will not need to pull cable between buildings.
1. Question: In the PHM building, the interior camera appears to be looking three different directions. Are you wanting a 180 degree camera or three individual cameras?
Answer: Individual cameras
DSX System
1. Question: What software version are you on?
Answer: The DSX System is SQL 4.10,9.
1. Question: Are there additional licenses available on the system?
Answer: Not applicable, no licenses are needed to install door strikes
1. Question: Who will program the DSX system?
Answer: Winning vendor will program and test installed devices.
General Questions
1. Question: The agreement calls for one year parts and labor warranty. If winning vendor is NOT the company that installed the HUSKY, Encoders and Cameras or any part of the original DSX equipment but must make all connections to existing hardware and make programming changes, is this company then also responsible for the existing equipment in the event there is a failure during that 12 month period?
Answer: No, only warranty
1. Question: Who is your current DSX provider and are they providing a quote for this project?
Answer: EV Electric is current provider, quote information is unknown.
1. Question: Who is your current video surveillance company that is providing the encoders and the Husky NVR and are they providing a quote for this project?
Answer: EV Electric, quote uknown
1. Question: Trees and Air Condition Units may block the view your security manager at the site is looking for on the North side of the wellness center. How do you want that addressed?
1. Answer: Trim back trees, adjust camera height/mounting location/mounting bracket to enable camera to have better field of view. LIH Staff will trim trees.
