Questions and answers vendor one

1. Question: Who will be supplying electric to the DSX panels?

Answer: LIH Maintenance will supply electrical. Panels will be hard wired.

2. Question: Wire to cameras

a. Are we to bid on the wire? If so, specifically which wire runs should be included in the bid? (Ex: cat 6 wire to cameras included in bid; fiber runs between buildings not included because they are pre-existing)

a. Answer: DSX door strikes and other security hardware will require cable runs.

b. Answer: For cameras, cat 6 wire will be provided by LIH to approximate locations of cameras and sit rolled up above ceiling. Contractor will use that cable to for cameras.

b. Question: Do you require any certifications to do the wire? (BICSI certifications for example)

a. Answer: Yes, contractors must have a Security Alarm License (or equivalent) for their state.

3. Question: Clarify that the Wellness building needs a cable run for the door strike on the IT room door and that mounting this wire on interior side (IT room side) of the door is acceptable (vs. placing the wire internally in the door).

a. Answer: Yes a cable will need to be ran for the door strike for the IT closet in the wellness building. The wire will likely need to be mounted on the interior side of the door due to the “double door” configuration of the closet.

4. Question: Clarify that POE is not needed for the cameras and a POE switch will be provided.

a. Answer: LIH IT will provide POE switches.

5. Question: Add to the SOW that the strike on the Wellness outside door needs to be tied into the motorized door opener.

a. Answer: There are 3 entrances with automatic door operators, those entrances will need to connect the strike to the operator to prevent a coordination issue (e.g. someone activating the operator without the strike releasing).

6. Question: Clarify discrepancies between the SOW to the drawings on cameras count.

a. Wellness Building

i. Answer: 5 Camera Locations, total of 15 cameras. Refer to revised drawing for approximate locations and for views.

b. PHN Building

i. Answer: 3 Camera Locations, total of 11 cameras. Cameras are correctly shown on drawing.

7. Question: How soon do we need to start the work and how soon does it need to be finished?

a. Answer: Work should start within 30 days of contract award in coordination/discussion with the Facilities Engineer, pending obvious issues like parts orders. In addition things like power or other IHS provided services/accommodations can be scheduled/discussed with contractor. Work should be complete in under 30 days.
