About this file
This is an attachment document related to a construction project solicitation by the Hillsborough County Engineering and Operations Department in Florida for intersection improvements at North Himes Avenue at West Waters Avenue. The project encompasses replacing the existing box span wire signal with mast arms, roadway widening, milling and resurfacing, installation of miscellaneous drainage improvements, ADA sidewalk and pedestrian curb ramp improvements, and signing and pavement marking at the specified intersection location. The estimated project value is $2,594,198.34, with the work designed to enhance traffic safety, accessibility, and roadway conditions at this critical intersection.
The solicitation establishes a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) subcontractor participation goal of 5% for the resulting contract. Hillsborough County is seeking qualified contractors capable of executing the full scope of intersection improvement work, which includes both traffic signal infrastructure modifications and comprehensive roadway rehabilitation. Interested bidders should review all contract documents and specifications to ensure their qualifications and bonding capacity align with the project's technical and financial requirements. The SBE goal requirement indicates the county's commitment to inclusive contracting practices and small business participation in county infrastructure projects.
