About this file

This document is Addendum No. 01 for the City of Buda's Garlic Creek Trail Construction project (IFB No. FY24-295), issued on September 26, 2024, modifying the original bid documents from September 11, 2024. The addendum includes project manual revisions specifying warranty periods of one year for the stabilized decomposed granite trail and two years for the pedestrian bridge and concrete structures. It provides responses to pre-bid meeting questions, clarifying details such as trail section specifics, tree removal procedures, bridge manufacturer preferences, trail length additions, and required horizontal clearances. The addendum also emphasizes the need for safe construction practices and prevention of mud tracking on streets.

The document contains additional technical clarifications from a request for information (RFI) log, including bridge design specifications such as AASHTO load requirements, safety rail height (54"), paint system details (2 coats in brown), and bearing recommendations. The addendum indicates that contract time will be adjusted proportionally if alternate 1 (additional trail length) is selected, and a revised bid form with unit quantities for tree protection and erosion control will be provided. The pre-bid meeting sign-in sheet shows representatives from at least three companies attended the September 25, 2024 meeting, indicating potential bidder interest in the approximately 7,800 to 10,350 linear feet trail construction project.

Hunter Smith huntersmith@sccitx.com +1 (512) 990-7640 09/25/24 12:49 PM C01.1 note #4 and #5.

How are we to include a tree protection and a erosion control pricing in the bid form per LS if the quantiy of what we are installing will not be determined until it is field located after the bid? Can these items be made to bid per unit with a quantity so the contractor will be paid for what is actullay installed?

A revised bid form with unit quantities will be provided as part of an addendum.
