About this file
This document is a detailed carpet specification package for the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport, prepared by Anderson Miller, Ltd. for multiple public space areas including the lobby, bar, briefing room, ballroom, and briefing room prefunction space. The specifications cover custom woven Axminster carpets with precise requirements for construction, including an 80% wool and 20% nylon blend, 10 rows per inch at 7-inch pitch, and a pile weight of 1500 gm/sm or 42.2 oz/sy. Each carpet area requires a custom pattern to be developed in collaboration with the manufacturer, with color selections ranging from 16 to 24 color options, and will utilize double-stick installation methods.
The carpet specifications are comprehensive, detailing exact technical requirements such as pile height (6.4mm/0.250 inch), backing materials (polyester/polypropylene), and performance standards including ASTM E-648 Class 1 certification, Carpet & Rug Institute's Indoor Air Quality Green Label approval, and a minimum two-year warranty. Accompanying each carpet specification is a matching carpet pad from Sponge Cushion Inc., featuring a TredMOR BV0180 Dbl-Stick 2580 style with 100% styrene rubber cushion, 0.25" thickness, 80 oz. weight, and a guardian antimicrobial finish. The documents emphasize contract quality, require manufacturer submissions of strike-off samples for approval, and mandate site visits to verify conditions and maximize efficiency.
