About this file
These specifications detail the Pinellas County FY 2025 Pavement Preservation Package 1 road and street construction contract (Contract No. 24-0757), incorporating standards from Pinellas County, Pinellas County Utilities Department, and the Florida Department of Transportation. The project encompasses pavement preservation work across four specific locations: Project A (Highlands Blvd, a collector roadway) and three local group resurfacing projects (Projects B, C, and D covering Local Groups 81 & 82, 88, and 121) totaling approximately 34.98 lane miles. The contract involves superpave asphalt concrete installation, milling of existing asphalt pavement, and utility adjustments including valve box and manhole rim/cover modifications.
The specifications outline precise technical requirements for asphalt concrete placement, including restrictions on recycled asphalt pavement (limited to 25%), and specify payment will be made per ton for various asphalt concrete types and thicknesses. Pricing is fixed for the contract, with no fuel price adjustments allowed. The work includes comprehensive roadway treatments covering arterials, collectors, local roadways, intersections, cul-de-sacs, driveways, medians, and turn lanes. Utility-related items such as valve box and manhole adjustments are priced on a per-each basis, with specific provisions for in-pavement and outside pavement modifications. The contract follows Pinellas County's standard technical specifications and provides detailed measurement and payment guidelines for each type of work performed.
