About this file

This document is a solicitation (Invitation for Bid 23-518-IFB) from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority for Preconditioned Air (PCA) Units to be installed at Orlando International Airport. The Aviation Authority is seeking ten (10) Passenger Boarding Bridge mounted air conditioning units, specifically four (4) 60-ton refrigeration units and six (6) 90-ton refrigeration units. The PCA units must be designed to maintain a 68°F cabin temperature, mounted to the underside of passenger boarding bridges without exceeding structural or operational design limits, and include comprehensive specifications for design, electrical systems, testing, and performance.

The solicitation requires a minimum two-year warranty with all parts covered, and the units must be designed for a ten-year minimum life expectancy with spare parts guaranteed for fifteen years after the last supply instance. Each unit must include specific spare parts such as two filter sets, touch-up paint, Wi-Fi hardware, and variable frequency drive components. The units must have specific design characteristics including powder-coated frames, sealed motors, dual air outlets, and meet various electrical, safety, and performance standards. Programming upgrades and technical support must be provided throughout the lifetime of the units at no additional cost to the Aviation Authority.
