| 1 | Solicitation W56HZV-22-R-0119 requires access to classified drawing 13010585:19200 dated 26 April 2005, Binocular Codes. Can you tell me who to contact in order to request a current copy for review? | Access to/review of the classified drawing is not required in order to propose on this effort. Access to this document will be provided to the awardee after contract award (if contract is awarded) |
| 2 | The P-Spec references a color for the binocular in Section 2.2.1, specifically FED-STD-595/20180 (Tan 499). This same color is referenced in section 3.5.1. Section 6.2.j notes that an alternate color may be specified in the contract Delivery Order, however. |
Section 3.4.8 notes that the binocular must interface with ARDs currently within the Army stockpile and gives specific NSNs. Please note that prior versions of the M22 P-Spec referenced FED-STD-595/34094 (Green) and FED-STD-37030 (Black). The ARDs in the Army stockpile are one of those two colors and there are no ARDs in color 20180. Section 3.4.6 of the contract notes that most of the components of the M22 must be of the same color as the binocular body, so a good color match is obviously of importance to the DoD.
| Is it possible to change the P-Spec color, or alternately within the Contract, to FED-STD-595/34094 (Green) | Please see Amendment 0002 | ||
| 3 | The performance spec, in section 3.1, notes that qty 9 samples of the M22 will be subjected to Design Verification Testing IAW section 4.2. These samples are separate from the qty 5 First Article Test units indicated for purchase in the solicitation and indicated in section 4.3 of the performance spec. I do not see any timing for the supply of the 9 samples in either the performance spec or the solicitation (perhaps I’m overlooking it). Can you tell me the government’s expectation for delivery of the 9 samples? | Nine (9) samples of the M22 Binoculars shall be subjected to design verification, there is not a requirement to delivery the 9 separate from FAT and the production quantites. |
