About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Suwannee River Water Management District (District) for carpet installation services. The District is seeking bids to remove and replace carpet in the main headquarters building with 24" x 24" carpet tiles, covering an area of approximately 6,374.45 square feet, which may be reduced at the District's discretion. Bidders are required to provide an estimated timeline for completion as part of their proposal, and the award will be based on a combination of price and estimated time to completion. The successful bidder will be responsible for the removal of existing carpet and replacement, as detailed in the scope of work.
The District has not provided an estimated construction budget, but rather indicates that the budget will be determined based on the proposed costs from the bids and contract negotiations. The District has not issued any addenda to date, but any future addenda will be posted on the District's website, Demand Star, and the Florida Vendor Marketplace. The District is open to considering alternative carpet recommendations from vendors, as long as the proposed carpet meets the District's requirements.

INVITATION TO BID
NO. 22/23-005
CARPET INSTALLATION
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. I was hoping to get the estimated construction budget. Can I also get a copy of any addenda issued to date?
The Budget is to be determined by proposed costs from bids and contract negotiations. There are currently no addenda. Any addenda that are issued will be posted on the District website, Demand Star, and FL Vendor Marketplace.
2. Are there any transitions required for the doorways?
We are not requiring transitions for doorways.
3. Has a color been selected or recommended for the carpet tile?
The same or similar to what was in our lobby (blues), as it will best coordinate with the offices that are not getting new carpet.
4. Can I get a copy of any addenda that have been released to date?
There are currently no addenda. Any addenda that are issued will be posted on the District website, Demand Star, and FL Vendor Marketplace.
5. Can I get a copy of the prebid sign in sheet?
A copy will be posted simultaneous with these answers.
6. What is the estimated construction cost?
The Budget is to be determined by proposed costs from bids and contract negotiations.
7. Will we have a designated place to deliver materials so they may acclimate 24 to 48 hours ahead of scheduled installation?
This would be determined during contract negotiations.
8. We have a “ride-on” take up machine that we use, to speed up removal of existing flooring.
www.tools4flooring.com/national-5700dl-battery-powered-ride-on-floor-scraper.html It is http://www.tools4flooring.com/national-5700dl-battery-powered-ride-on-floor-scraper.html electric and does not make a lot of noise, it is less that 3’ wide, so it fits through doorways and is perfect for open areas such as hallways/corridors and speeds up replacement time drastically, will we be able to use this during business hours or should we plan on using it after hours?
Our goal is to minimize impact on human resources. This would be discussed and determined during contract negotiations.
9. Will there be a dumpster provided on site for the removed carpet?
No. Debris will need to be hauled off as stated in the Scope of Work on page 6 of the ITB.
10. The specified carpet is an underachieving carpet compared to what we use normally use in Government buildings and would like to recommend a different carpet like one we have used before. The District did not specify carpet to be used only that we preferred 2’x2’ tiles for convenience of replacement and maintenance. Vendors may propose any grade or type of carpet.
11. Would you be interested in doing this on a State Contract? Not at this time, however, a vendor under a State contract may propose using the State contract rates.
