Contractor shall assume full responsibility for having accepted substitutions and shall comply with applicable portions of Contract Documents, except where such requirements are specifically waived in writing. Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating necessary changes with other Contractors and subcontractors affected.

F. Contractor shall ensure that substitute materials and equipment to be furnished fit space available, and shall make necessary investigations to ascertain space requirements, including those for connections. Contractor shall order such sizes and shapes of equipment that final installation will meet true intent and meaning of Contract Documents, will fit into space allocated with adequate room for satisfying manufacturer’s servicing requirements and will meet governing codes or regulations.

2.3 REWORK

A. Request for Architect/Engineer to review mock-ups, field samples or sample installations; or submission of shop drawings, samples, literature or other material representation of a product, supplier or material for review by Architect shall constitute Contractor's acceptance of product being basis of design. Resubmittal or subsequent requests for reviews caused by substitution or by change to another specified item shall constitute grounds for added payment to Architect for additional services for redundant review.

B. Added Architect fees for rework will be submitted by Architect to Owner as controlled by the claims provisions of the General Conditions and may be assessed against the Contractor by the Owner.
