About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 205AE9-26-Q-00010, addressing inquiries regarding a network infrastructure refresh project at an IRS facility (PR4001) in Puerto Rico.

The project involves comprehensive cable plant planning and installation of CAT 6A structured cabling with network rack refresh aimed at minimal operational disruption. The Government will provide floor plans with Data Drop locations (City View-Data Drop Floor Plan) and has confirmed that after-hours or weekend work windows can be arranged. Regarding materials and specifications, there is no brand name requirement; cables may be brand name or equivalent to Panduit CAT6A cables. The IRS location provides secure on-site staging for materials on the mezzanine floor where work will be performed. Contractor personnel will be escorted at all times by IRS personnel, with no specific security clearance requirements for unescorted access. The contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of existing legacy cabling following Federal Government disposal procedures. No additional power or cooling upgrades are needed at the MDF, and no Puerto Rico-specific building codes or IRS-specific physical security standards beyond standard TIA/EIA cabling requirements apply. This is a new requirement with no incumbent contractor previously performing these services.
