2031ZA26Q00030 Questions
| Vendor Questions | BEP Responses |
| Are CAD models available for these trays? | No, CAD model will not me made available to vendors. Please utilize the drawing. |
| Existing tooling available for use? | No |
| The solicitation states "Bottom" and "Middle" trays, however, the BEP drawings provided are for "Upper" and "Bottom" trays. Now while I believe it is safe to assume that the "Middle" and "Upper" trays are one in the same | Yes the Trays are the same. |
| According to the drawings, these are to be made from plastic sheet, would you be willing to accept quotes using injection mold with the exact same specifications? | Yes, the vendor should include technical details in their proposal. |
| What is the make and model of the current stack and rack cart with trays? | The current carts/trays are made to the drawing specification. A variety of vendors have produced this material for BEP in the past 10 years. |
| Based on the pictures you sent, there must be existing tooling to produce these parts. I can’t tell from these pictures if the part is blow molded, twin sheet thermoformed, or single sheet formed with assembly. | The vendor would be responsible for coming up with the manufacturing methodology. BEP will not advise on how to produce the parts or provide any tooling they would utilize to produce the parts. This is vendor responsibility. |
| I can not see what the other side of the tray looks like and I know it requires a specific weight? | |
| Could you please advise whether STEP files are available for both items associated with Solicitation No. 2031ZA26Q00030? | No |
| Images appear to be molded plastic but the drawings are more in line with a fabricated tray. Do any of the notches and holes need to match the pictures or can we go directly off the drawings? | |
| I would lean towards HDPE for the structural stability. Can you confirm you will be matching the existing colors for the upper and lower trays? | |
| What is the delivery timeline for the quantities mentioned in the RFQ? | 90 days After Award |
| Is there a annual count of trays needed for this procurement? | |
| Would be nice to have the3D model data now, but would it be available to the company that wins the award? | Can be discussed post award. It is a liability issue with providing the CAD model The drawings have the actual specifications. The time the company takes to recreate the model in CAD is time well spent as it allows them to get more familiar with the part being manufactured. |
