AMENDMENT NO. 0004

The purpose of Amendment No. 0004 is to revise the PWS to reflect the addition of the requirement for Mail Screening.

Please note the following changes, which are incorporated at Attachment A of this amendment.

CHANGE:

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.4 Period of Performance

1.6.4 Hours of Operation:

c. Mail Screening and Currency Destruction shall be staffed from 7:00 am to

4:00 pm. Staffing requires two personnel which will be utilized for either/or but not both functions simultaneously.

CHANGE

1.6.10.4 In addition, due to the physical nature of the currency destruction process, all personnel tasked with destruction duties must be able to lift 50 pounds.

1.6.11.3.2.1 Physical Ability. The Contractor shall provide staff to perform destruction duties which entails lifting paper or other items of a weight not to exceed 50 pounds to a height of four feet so they may be loaded into a bin.

PART 3 – GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY, EQUIPMENT AND

SERVICES

ADD:

3.1 Facilities: The government will provide access to the applicable work areas including the Badge Room, mail facility and Processing Center.

Performing destruction detail by providing assistance in the destruction of unfit currency notes/sheets and currency printing plates in accordance with established BEP procedures. The destruction process involves placing unfit currency notes/sheets on a conveyor belt or into a gondola and placing unfit plates into a shredding machine. The physically demanding tasks that require an individual capable of performing in such an environment for considerable lengths of time. Personnel must be capable of lifting 50lbs or more. Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required in performance of the destruction detail. In performance of this subtask the Contractor shall adhere to OSHA Occupational Noise Exposure Regulation 1910.95.

These are physically demanding tasks that require an individual capable of performing in such an environment for considerable lengths of time.

Personnel must be capable of lifting 50lbs or more. Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required in performance of the destruction detail. In performance of this subtask the Contractor shall adhere to OSHA Occupational Noise Exposure Regulation 1910.95. In addition, mail screening may require additional PPE (e.g.

coveralls, gloves, foot coverings), provided by the BEP to be utilized.
