About this file

This is a Question and Answers document for Solicitation 2026-R-024, addressing clarifications on the pricing and line item specifications for Cohesity Backup Storage services being procured by the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA).

The document clarifies six key areas of concern raised by the vendor regarding the solicitation requirements. For Line Items 001-004 (hardware maintenance renewals), vendors may add separate line items for Hardware as a Service (aaS) if the SAA does not currently own the equipment. Line Items 001 and 002 may be merged if they cover the same equipment model with different maintenance support levels. Regarding Line Items 001-003, which reach end-of-life in February 2027, vendors should contact Cohesity to determine appropriate replacement quoting methodology. The SAA clarified that Line Items 009, 011, and 013 should have a unit of measure of "1 Block" (matching Line Items 008, 010, and 012) rather than a quantity of 12. For Line Items 014 and 015, the SAA confirmed these hourly service line items cannot be changed to "Each" as they are formatted on Cohesity's official price list. Finally, regarding Line Items 016, 017, and 021, vendors should contact Cohesity for clarification on how the 12 TB quantities were determined or may leave the quantity blank pending SAA follow-up for clarification.

Sheet1 Question and Answers 2026-R-024 Cohesity Backup Storage

Question NumberQuestionSAA Response
1For Line Items #001 - #004: these are hardware maintenance support renewals. Do you want the actual hardware aaS amount quoted as well if SAA does not currently own the equipment?Vendor can add an additonal line for Hardware aas to the Pricing worksheet, and/or provide comment(s) with your response. The SAA will consider updating those lines and may contact vendor if clarification is needed.
2Line Item #002 looks to have a different maintenance support that requires defective data storage parts returned. This is different from the other support levels including those of the same model equipment. Do you want to merge those lines #001 and #002 together, since it’s the same equipment?Vendor can merge line items 001 and 002 together, and/or provide comment(s) with your response. The SAA may contact vendor if clarification is needed.
3The Line Items in #0001 - #0003 go end of life in February 2027. How should we quote the replacements?Contact Cohesity to determine how to quote the replacements, and/or provide comment(s) with your response; the SAA may contact vendor if clarification is needed.
4For Line Items #009, #011, #013: what does the quantity of 12 represent, the lines above (#008, #010, #012) are only requesting a quantity of 1 for the hardware.Line items 9, 11, and 13 unit of measure should be 1 Block, the same as line items 8, 10, and 12; will amend the pricing table as well as option year line items to reflect this.
5For Line Items #014 & #015: this is formatted as hourly but cannot be quoted this way. These are services provided by Cohesity. Can the Unit of Measure be changed to “Each”? Attached are the data sheets. The SAA cannot change Line Items 14 and 15 to each, these line items are hourly on Cohesity's price list.
6For Line Items #016, #017, #021: we are unsure how the quantity of 12 TB was determined, could you please explain?Contact Cohesity to get more detail on how totals are calculated or leave quantity blank; the SAA may contact vendor for clarification if needed.
