About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for patriotic lighting and decor enhancements for the Independence Day 2026 celebration at Doral Central Park in Florida. The City of Doral is seeking vendors to provide holiday lighting installations throughout the park, including the main entrance, 11 park pavilions, amphitheater area, two VIP areas, and the Community Center building facade. The project requires installation and illumination beginning in early June, approximately 3 to 4 weeks prior to July 4, 2026, with removal beginning on or after July 5. Specific lighting requirements include: eight Bismarck palms at the main entrance with either trunk-wrapped light sets or uplighting in red, white, and blue configurations plus a minimum of 24 decorative patriotic items; 11 pavilions outlined with red, white, and blue C7 LED bulbs along rooflines totaling 1,156 linear feet with additional decorative lighting elements; 10 palm trees at the amphitheater with alternating red, white, and blue uplighting; 13 RGB uplights in VIP Area 1; bistro lighting and battery-operated LED uplights for 8 palm trees in VIP Area 2; and powerful uplighting on the Community Center building facade (200 feet wide by 34 feet tall) with distinct red, white, and blue sections and lighting to highlight two 30-foot by 15-foot American flags.

Due to limited electrical outlets throughout the park, solar-powered and battery-operated lighting options are preferred where feasible. Vendors must provide estimated power and voltage requirements, battery life specifications, and details regarding whether batteries would require replacement or recharging during the 3 to 4-week display period for each proposed section and lighting element. A rendering for each proposed area and lighting concept must be included with the proposal. The contract value is under $50,000. The RFQ encourages vendors to visit the site and use their own photographs when preparing proposals and renderings, with reference images provided for each area.
