About this file
Addendum 1 for Solicitation 2026-NPS-003 pertains to a Dust Collection System project for the Carpentry Room, issued by NPS (likely National Park Service). The Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks a contractor to design and install a dust collection system based on existing equipment in the shop. The addendum addresses four key questions from potential bidders regarding the lack of detailed documentation, including missing drawings for ductwork, dust collector specifications, and explosion or fire protection details.
The responses to the questions consistently indicate that the RFP is intentionally open-ended, requiring the selected vendor to complete the full design and installation of the dust collection system. No specific technical specifications, horsepower, cubic feet per minute (CFM), or dust collector type are provided in the current documentation. The contracting agency appears to be seeking a comprehensive solution that will be developed by the winning bidder based on the existing equipment in the carpentry shop.
