The contractor shall remove, reactivate, and replace 50 cubic meters of active carbon filter material from two filter tanks. The scope includes extracting soiled carbon material via silo truck (25 cubic meters per tank), transporting it to Norit or equivalent reactivation facility for thermal processing, and returning the reactivated material to the water plant for reinstallation under water plant supervisor direction. The contractor must replenish 25 percent of material losses from the reactivation process with equivalent pure Norit ROW 0.8 Supra carbon filter material. Additional responsibilities include disposing of wastewater in the designated brine water tank behind Building 113 and providing a material and reactivation analysis certificate. Final acceptance is contingent upon USAF Bio Environmental Office approval of water quality analysis. All work must comply with Final Governing Standards-Germany (FGS-G) Chapter 3, German Trinkwasserverordnung (TWO), and DIN standards. Operations are conducted Monday through Friday, 0800 to 1700 hours, excluding U.S. Government holidays but including German national holidays.
