Date: July 31, 2024 To: All Potential Proposers From: Dori Palmer, Purchasing Analyst Subject: City of Eugene RFP 20252009, (3) BMF Strain Presses
ADDENDUM NO. 1
The solicitation referenced above is amended as follows.
Questions submitted to date:
Q. What is the expected project timeline after the notice of intent to award? Specifically, when is equipment expected to be on site and when would startup happen after that?
A. Installation would take place between approximately September and February, when the units are not in use. Our staff will need time to remove the old units and install the new ones and integrate them into our new SCADA for operations to have them ready for use. We would anticipate delivery by January 1st, 2025.
Q. What are the expected warranty terms or is the vendor to just state our standard warranty of 1 year from equipment delivery?
A. The warranty would be expected to start once the manufacturer’s representative completes start-up.
Q. V. Requirements: There is reference to a control panel and pneumatic panel.
We assume each of the three (3) sludge screens will have its own electrical and pneumatic panel, please confirm.
A.Yes, each unit is expected to have its own electrical and pneumatic panel.
Q. Are the electrical panels in the same room as the sludge screens? We see the pneumatic panels, but it is unclear where the existing electrical control panels are located for the existing units.
A. Our current units get their power from the MCC room next door.
Q. How far away from the sludge screens are the electrical panels?
A. In the room next door, approximately 30 feet.
Q. What size HMI is required to be on the electrical panels?
A. New equipment will need to be able to communicate with Factory Talk Version 13. HMI screens We would want operation of the equipment through the SCADA and not have an HMI screen.
Q. Does the site have a source of clean dry air at 0.7 cfm @ 60-80 psig for each pneumatic panel? It looks like in the 2nd photo in Attachment A there is an air compressor.
A. Yes, there are air dryers, and we can supply 0.7 cfm @ 60-80 psig for each pneumatic panel.
Q. File 20252009_A1_Attachement A On pg 2 of this document a local control station on the right side of the picture by the sludge screen is visible. It appears to be a 4-Hole, NEMA 4XSS, including: E-Stop PB, local-remote selector, start PB, and stop PB. It is recommended to replace these local control stations, so they have the correct wiring contacts and signals needed to interface with the new sludge screen control panels. Please confirm the LCS are expected to be part of this bid.
A. Yes, local control panels are required.
All other specifications, terms and conditions remain unchanged.
