About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) for the 2025 Teacher of the Year Banquet. The RFQ seeks to procure conference space within a hotel or walking distance of a hotel in Central Illinois, with the preferred locations being Bloomington, Normal, Peoria, Champaign, and Springfield. The event is scheduled for May 17, 2025, from 4 PM to 9:30 PM, and the expected attendance is between 700 and 1,050 people. The RFQ specifies the required physical layout, including meeting rooms, registration area, banquet room, and audiovisual equipment. Catering services are also required, including a plated dinner for attendees, as well as separate meals for student performers and ISBE staff/volunteers.
The RFQ requires the vendor to provide an all-inclusive price quote that covers room rental, table rental, beverages, and catering for 1,050 attendees. The price per plate for any additional attendees over 1,050 must also be provided. The quote must be valid for 160 days from the date of submission, and ISBE reserves the right to reject all offers or individual offers that fail to meet the requirements. The selected vendor must be able to provide all required supplies and services and offer the lowest total price.
